Where does your money go?

• Mahouts receive fair income from Elephant Adventures: the salaries they receive from us is higher than the income they earnt when they worked for the logging industry.

• When you join a trek towards the Mekong river banks, we rent the elephants and pay the mahouts 2 extra days to cover their return to Hongsa. Even when travelling without guests, they receive the same daily retribution.

• Elephant Adventures works in a fairly economic way with their local partners (hosts, cooks, drivers).

• In each village visited by our caravans, we contribute financially to local projects through a contribution to the local village fund (per night and per guest)

• We support the conservation programme run by the National Animal Health Centre and ElefantAsia non-profit organization in Sayaboury Province, Laos. 5% of Elephant Adventure’s total turnover is repaid to their Mobile Elephant Clinic.
